Oversight focuses on the grant portfolio’s essential financial, programmatic, and administrative functions, as well as their contribution to the national health response. This function examines the vital signs or high-level features of Global Fund investments to ensure that grants are operating in accordance with agreed-upon objectives and targets.

Oversight is not the same as grant monitoring, which is the obligation of Principal Recipients on a daily basis. This feature allows you to assist Principal Recipients in identifying and resolving critical implementation difficulties.

The basic idea of oversight is to guarantee that resources are used efficiently and effectively to eliminate HIV/AIDS and contribute to resilient and sustainable health-care systems.
